Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Muslim Religious Worker to join our team. The role involves providing spiritual guidance and support to the Muslim community, fostering a sense of community, and offering religious education.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

Religious Instruction:

Assist in the preparation and delivery of Islamic educational programs, including Quranic studies, Hadith, Fiqh, and Seerah.

Conduct classes, workshops, and seminars for children, youth, and adults on various aspects of Islam.

Support the Imam in leading prayers, delivering sermons, and providing religious guidance.

Community Outreach:

Engage with community members to understand their spiritual needs and provide appropriate religious support.

Organize and participate in community events, interfaith activities, and outreach programs.

Develop and maintain relationships with other local religious organizations and community groups.

Spiritual Care:

Offer pastoral care and counselling to individuals and families facing personal, spiritual, or social challenges.

Visit the sick, elderly, and those in need within the community.

Provide support for life events such as marriages, funerals, and other religious rites.

Qualifications:

A strong understanding of Islamic theology, principles, and practices.

Fluent in [Preferred Languages e.g., English, Arabic, Urdu, etc.].

Previous experience in religious instruction or community service is preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals.

A deep sense of empathy, compassion, and respect for all members of the community.

Experience
– Previous experience in leading religious services and events
– Experience working with children and youth in an educational or mentoring capacity
– Strong leadership skills to guide the community effectively
– Ability to educate others on Islamic principles and practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £28,000.00 per year

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Imam (Minister of Religion) to lead our community in spiritual guidance, education, and support. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of religious texts and traditions, alongside the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups. This role is pivotal in fostering a sense of belonging and faith within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging sermons and religious teachings during congregational prayers and special events.
  • Provide spiritual counselling and support to individuals and families within the community.
  • Educate members on religious practices, values, and principles through classes and workshops.
  • Facilitate discussions on contemporary issues affecting the community while providing guidance rooted in faith.
  • Organise community events, including religious celebrations, educational seminars, and outreach programmes.
  • Collaborate with other community leaders to promote interfaith dialogue and understanding.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with congregants, addressing their concerns and needs effectively.

Requirements

  • Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage a diverse audience.

  • Experience in educating others about faith-related topics is highly desirable.
