Our History

The Mosque was Originally constructed as a church in 1830, the building underwent a significant transformation when it was converted into a masjid in 2016. Since then, the space has seen a remarkable increase in capacity—doubling to accommodate the growing congregation. A major renovation project has been underway to further enhance the facility, and it is now nearing completion, promising to better serve the community while preserving the site’s historical character.

Our Mission: At Umm ul Qura Islamic Centre, we are dedicated to providing authentic Islamic education based on the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Our mission is to educate both Muslims and non-Muslims on the true teachings of Islam, free from cultural biases, sectarianism, and extremism, fostering understanding, peace, and unity within our community.
